Successful trek to snow capped mountains of Namdapha by field staff

The year 2020 hasn't brought much on table for almost everybody but at Namdapha Tiger Reserve, we are having good time in terms of field work as our team had successfully attained elevation of 3476m for the first time. The camera trapping team lead by Atum Rumbdo and team members Anand Kurmi and Sherbahadur with four porters, left from basecamp on 19th December and had trekked for almost 6 days to reach the dry mountain top where they have discovered a huge lake. While hiking up in search of animals signs, especially tigers they had to survive on snow pellets.  Freezing cold atmosphere (-7° C) was also a challenge but the determined and mentally strong team successfully summited the peak. Team returned to basecamp safely after 11 days of hard work without any casualties.
