Rescue & release of Bengal Slow Loris with the help of Indian Army at Namdapha

On 2nd May 2021, adult Bengal Slow Loris was stuck in barbed wire fence at the Indian Army Camp, Miao. The animal was safely rescued by the Indian army personnels and then handed over to the Namdapha Tiger Reserve.

After the proper observations the animal was fit to be released in wild, hence on following day it was released in Namdapha Tiger Reserve.

The whole operation was done under the guidance of Shri Tapek Riba [IFS], CF & Field Director, Namdapha Tiger Reserve. We thank Indian Army for showing keen interest in knowing and conserving the precious wildlife of our country.
