Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Shri Mama Natung was on a 2 day visit(6th and 7th May) to Namdapha National Park and Tiger Reserve. While lauding the efforts of the Park Management under Field Director Shri Aduk Paron towards the preservation of the national asset, he also advised the field staffs to be vigilant for the protection of the Park.
During his visit to the encroached areas, he stated that the Government is committed towards the protection of its rich flora and fauna and urged the illegal settlers residing within the world famous National Park to agree to the Government relocation modalities for a better management of the biodiversity rich area.
A film showcasing the rich flora and fauna of Namdapha National Park & Tiger Reserve was screened on the occasion. Also a walk on bird watching as well as plantation programme was organized during the visit.
